Stephen Oliver: The Way of the Mile High Maverick
Stephen Oliver — The Way of the Mile High Maverick
Stephen Oliver is a 10th Degree Black Belt who began training in 1975 and opened his first school while still a student. He built Mile High Karate into a multi-school operation, promoted major sport-karate events, and went on to publish Martial Arts Professional and lead NAPMA. In this interview he traces the decisions behind that record — what he got wrong early, what he would do differently, and what he believes separates a school that lasts from one that does not.
