BJJ Corner is Martial Arts Professional’s desk for Brazilian jiu-jitsu as a business. It covers what academy owners and professors actually have to run: rank and graduation rules and the paperwork that makes them count, affiliation and signing authority, academy operations, pricing and retention in a belt system that moves slowly, and the news that changes how a BJJ academy is run. It is written for the person responsible for the room — the owner, the head professor, the operator of a multi-academy group — rather than for the competitor.
