Mindset & Leadership
Mindset and leadership covers the owner’s own decision-making — the part of running a school that no system fixes. Articles deal with goal-setting and planning, time and attention, dealing with plateaus and setbacks, negotiation and difficult conversations, personal standards, and the psychology of running a business whose product is discipline. This section holds much of the journal’s guest-expert archive: outside authorities on selling, money and performance who wrote for the magazine during its print era, several of whom held black belts themselves. Those articles are labelled as archive material and are not the work of current staff. Readers should treat the section as what it is — a library of thinking about how school owners make decisions, assembled across three decades, rather than a set of current instructions.
